ErmaLean, the evolving workshop to train apprentices in Lean Six Sigma
Project description
The Didactic Factory teams of the company ERM Automatismes have set up an evolving ErmaLean workshop at the CFAI in Mulhouse (France). This didactic line allows learners to face realistic industrial situations. Thus, they will be able to master current production tools and tackle the technical and technological challenges of tomorrow.
Composition of the ErmaLean line
The ErmaLean training system comprises five scalable manual assembly stations and a raw materials store. Whether straight, L-shaped or U-shaped, the ErmaLean training line adapts perfectly to the working environment in which it is installed.
The assembly stations and storage warehouse can be used in a basic way with paper display systems. In “Lean” mode, screens allow operators to follow step-by-step instructions. This interactive functionality facilitates the assembly process and improves the overall efficiency of the ErmaLean system.
Additional Features
Several activities are available, such as creating and improving workflows in the Tulip Manufacturing Assistance software, highlighting the impact of workstation balancing, measuring, analyzing, and improving the utilized flows, and applying Kaizen tools.
The learning process will alternate between production phases and analysis periods. Learners will have the opportunity to apply Lean and Six Sigma tools while taking the time to analyze the results obtained.
A pedagogical approach designed by an expert consultant in Lean Six Sigma is associated with the ErmaLean line.
